Ocean Vibes Sailing Catamaran

A gym with a stationary bike travels aboard Ocean Vibes, and fishing tackle with it. She is a 74ft (22m) sailing catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, delivered in 2020.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 8 knots and tops out at 12, on 37.8 litres an hour, so getting from place to place is an unhurried part of the day rather than a matter of speed.

On deck

A swim platform lets guests into the sea at water level and gives them an easy way back up again.

Water toys

Eleven toys travel with Ocean Vibes. Two SUP boards and a kayak cover the paddling, a Seascooter and snorkelling kit the swimming, and water skis, a wakeboard, a kneeboard and a towable tube the being-pulled-along part of it, with inflatable toys as well. A 14ft ZAR tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Her home port is St Thomas in the USVI, and she cruises USVI waters, the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, so the anchorages open to her are not confined to a single shore.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep eight, air-conditioned and with Wi-Fi aboard; she works year-round, at her busiest in January, February, March and December. Three crew look after those eight guests, which keeps the service close and personal.

Charter notes

A week's rental suits a family or a group of friends who want their days in and on the water, and with room for twelve aboard by day, the group on deck can be larger than the eight who sleep aboard.
