Sasta Luxury Catamaran

Twelve guests can be aboard Sasta for a day on the water, and eight of them can stay on for the night, so the group by day can be larger than the group that sleeps aboard. A 78ft (23m) luxury catamaran launched in 2022, she comes from Lagoon and uses 40 litres of fuel an hour.

Water toys

Six toys travel with her. Two paddleboards let a pair of guests set off across the anchorage at the same time, water skis, a wakeboard and two towable tubes cover the towed side of things, and snorkelling gear opens up whatever lies under the hull. A 13ft Williams tender handles the runs ashore.

Where she cruises

Sasta has her home port in Corsica and a second base at Ibiza, and she cruises France, Italy and Spain, which gives a group three countries of coastline to choose between rather than a single stretch of it.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep eight guests. The beds run to a king, two queens and a twin, so a group can sort itself between doubles and separate berths.

Comfort under way

She settles at 10 knots and will run to 14, which brings an anchorage further along the coast into range.

On deck

The swim platform makes the sea easy to get into and, more to the point, easy to climb back out of, and Wi-Fi reaches across the boat.

Charter notes

Sasta goes out by the week or as a three-day hire, July and August the months most asked for. A family or a group of friends travelling together are looked after by a crew of two, so running her is somebody else's job for the week.
