Firefly I Sailing Catamaran
About Firefly I
Twelve guests can come aboard Firefly I for a day on the water, twice the six she sleeps, and she uses 24 litres of fuel an hour under power.
Comfort under way
She is a Lagoon of 61ft (19m), a sailing catamaran from 2011 that settles into a cruise of 8 knots with 12 knots available when there is reason to press on.
On deck
A swim platform opens straight onto the sea, so swimming and climbing back aboard cost nothing in effort.
Water toys
She carries six toys. Two paddleboards mean a pair can head off across the anchorage together, while water skis, a wakeboard and a towable tube are there for anyone who would rather be towed, and there is snorkelling kit for guests happier looking below the surface.
Where she cruises
Firefly I keeps her home port at Mallorca and sails the waters of Spain, July and August being her busiest months.
Accommodation and crew
Three cabins take six guests overnight. The beds are a king in one and a queen in each of the others, air conditioning runs through the accommodation and Wi-Fi reaches the whole boat. A crew of three looks after her, a crew member for every two guests aboard.
Charter notes
For a family or a group of friends sailing in Spain, she makes an easy hire, and her 14ft Highfield tender takes the group ashore and brings them back.
