Vision2 Sailing Catamaran

A 14ft ZAR tender comes with Vision2, so going ashore is a short ride rather than a move of the whole boat. She is a 57ft (17m) Lagoon sailing catamaran, built in 1995 and refitted in 2022.

Water toys

Two SUP boards and two kayaks travel with her, enough for a pair of paddlers on either, and a kneeboard adds a quicker way into the water. Snorkelling gear is aboard as well, which turns a swim off the boat into a look at what lies below.

Where she cruises

Jost Van Dyke is her home port, and Vision2 sails the British Virgin Islands through the year, her peak running from December into March.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests, two of them with a queen bed and the third with twin berths, and by day she can carry twelve. A crew of two sails her and cooks aboard.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 8 knots and will make 12, so the passage between anchorages is unhurried and done under sail.

On deck

Her swim platform turns getting into the sea into a step down, and makes climbing back out simple once the swim is over.

Charter notes

She suits a family or friends travelling together, up to six sleeping aboard, and a hire runs to a minimum of 3 days. Twelve can be aboard for a day on the water, so a wider circle can share the British Virgin Islands without leaving the group split between boats.
