Mando Sailing Catamaran

Three cabins, each with a double bed, are the whole of the accommodation aboard Mando, and six guests sleep in them, two to a room. She is a Lagoon sailing catamaran of 46ft (14m), built in 2020.

Water toys

A 10ft RIB tender is the link between the boat and the shore, taking guests off and bringing them back, and a kayak goes over the side for anyone who wants to paddle away on their own.

Where she cruises

Central, in Hong Kong, is her home port, and her cruising is all done in Hong Kong waters, so she stays within reach of the city she sails from. She is out year-round, with April, May, October and November her busiest months.

Accommodation and crew

A crew of two sails Mando and looks after the guests aboard, which means the sailing, the cooking and the running of the tender are their work rather than anyone else's. Air conditioning cools the cabins and Wi-Fi covers the boat, so a group can stay comfortable and in contact without heading back to shore.

Comfort under way

Under sail she makes 8 knots and her maximum is 12, so the water she covers is covered at a sailing pace rather than a hurried one.

Charter notes

Mando suits a family or a group of friends who want the whole boat to themselves, and by day fifteen can be aboard, so those sleeping over can be joined on the water by more of the party.
