New Aura Sailing Catamaran

Eight litres of fuel an hour is all the engines of New Aura take when she is motoring, so the hours she spends under power weigh lightly on her tanks. She is a Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran of 51ft (15m), built in 2024.

Comfort under way

Under way she cruises at eight knots and has thirteen when she needs them, and her two hulls keep her upright under sail, so the deck stays flat while she moves.

On deck

A swim platform gives the party a direct step down into the sea, and with air conditioning and Wi-Fi aboard the interior stays cool and the group stays in reach of the shore.

Water toys

Seven toys travel with her. Two Sea doo underwater craft carry two riders at a time and two SUP boards take two paddlers, while water skis, a kneeboard and a donut are there for towing, SwimWays Spring Floats for lying on the water and snorkelling gear for looking beneath it. Her tender is a 13ft Highfield, and it is what carries the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Trogir is her home port, and Croatia – at its peak for her in July and August – is the whole of her cruising ground, so a charter aboard her stays within Croatia from the first day to the last.

Accommodation and crew

Ten guests sleep aboard New Aura and twelve can be with her by day, so a day on the water can hold more company than her nights do. With a crew of two doing the sailing and the looking after, the people who booked her are guests and nothing more.

Charter notes

New Aura suits two couples or a family, and the rental runs by the week or for a shorter stay. Her six cabins are the fact that settles it for a family: the whole group spreads across them, each cabin with its own door to close.
