About Electric Spirit

Fishing tackle goes aboard Electric Spirit along with a Seabob, so a line can go over the side wherever she lies at anchor. She is a 52ft (16m) sailing catamaran from Island Spirits Yachts, built in 2026 and the only yacht from that builder in our fleet, and what she carries for the water shapes the week aboard.

Accommodation and crew

Twelve guests sleep aboard in six cabins, and she takes the same twelve by day, so the party on deck is never larger than the party that stays the night. Four of those cabins are doubles and two are convertible. Three crew sail her and look after the guests, the cabins are air-conditioned, and her peak comes in December and the first three months of the year.

Comfort under way

Two hulls keep her level under sail rather than heeled over, and she makes 8 knots at her cruising pace with 10 knots at full stretch. A solar panel tops up her power from daylight.

On deck

A bimini top throws shade over the deck, so there is somewhere out of the sun without going below, and a swim platform gives a direct step into the sea and an easy climb back out.

Water toys

Six toys travel with her in all. Beyond the tackle and the Seabob there is a paddleboard for standing on the water, a kayak for paddling away from the boat and snorkelling gear for looking beneath the surface, with a tender to carry the party ashore. The Seabob, paddleboard, kayak and fishing gear come at an extra charge.

Where she cruises

Electric Spirit has her home port at Phuket in Thailand and cruises the waters of Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar.

Charter notes

She suits two couples or a family, and she is offered for a week's charter or a three-day hire. Either way the tackle and the toys go with her, so the party has the water to play in as well as the deck to sit on.
