About Galeon 640 Fly
Carbon composite tops the flybridge and bimini, and a two-way stair system inside clears space for a four-cabin, full-beam layout below deck. That combination is the design story of the Galeon 640 Fly, which Galeon is building at its Polish yard for delivery in 2027.
Build and provenance
She is a GRP hull with a carbon and fibreglass superstructure, and Tony Castro Yacht Design drew both the naval architecture and the exterior lines, while In Situ & Partners handled the interior. At 21 metres and 31 gross tons, with a beam of 5 metres and a draft of just 1 metre, she can reach anchorages a deep draft would rule out. She is a 2027 delivery, so her first survey will read as a new-build inspection rather than a history.
Layout and accommodation
Fifteen guests can be aboard across four cabins, with two crew to run her. The top deck is enlarged for dining, a full-sized bar and lounge seating around the helm, and the bow opens through a front window entrance onto two separate sofas with folding tables. Beach Mode adds six-metre balconies with partly glazed floors and a breakfast bar on each side, turning the cockpit into swim-level living space at anchor.
Performance and engineering
She is built for a 23-knot cruise and 27 knots flat out, with a choice of Volvo Penta or MAN diesels driving her through shaft drive. Her fuel and water tankage supports a season of day trips and short hops between anchorages rather than long passages.
On deck and at anchor
The sun deck, flybridge and fold-down terraces extend the living space to the water, and an audio and entertainment system carries through the cockpit. A tender garage below keeps toys out of sight until they are needed.
Where she lies and how to see her
The Galeon 640 Fly is being built in Poland, where the yard will hand her over on completion. Boatcrowd arranges viewings at the build site and attends them with you; survey and sea trial follow in the usual order once an offer is accepted.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
