Dark walnut runs through Jack of Hearts, from the high-gloss cabinetry to the wood flooring in the saloon, carried from room to room rather than kept for a single showpiece space. Galeon built her in 2020, a flybridge motor yacht designed so the joinery reads as one idea rather than a string of upgrades. At 72 feet she has the presence to carry that scale of finish without the layout feeling crowded.
Build and provenance
Galeon built her as a flybridge motor yacht with a fibreglass hull and a planing hull form, registered under the American flag. A luxury pack and a comfort pack were specified from new, the kind of options fitted for a yacht bought to be lived aboard rather than moved quickly between marinas.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, with heads fitted to the master, guest and bow cabins rather than shared along one corridor. A crew of two run the boat from their own quarters, small enough that an owner can still choose full service without a large team aboard. Wooden shutters carry the saloon's high-gloss finish through the rest of the interior.
Performance and engineering
Two MAN V8-1200 engines settle Jack of Hearts into a 24-knot cruise, with 32 knots on hand flat out, closing distance between anchorages rather than a slow displacement pace. A gyro stabiliser smooths the ride underway, and a stern thruster with joystick control, backed by dynamic positioning, makes close-quarters docking a one-person job.

The flybridge carries its own grill, set up for lunch at anchor without sending anyone below.

- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
