Buying before completion lets a buyer choose the specification rather than inherit one. Galeon 680 Fly is due for delivery in 2027, and every fitting on this hull is still open for a decision. At 22 metres she carries a beam of 5.3 metres, room enough for the full-beam owner's suite the yard has drawn into her layout.
Build and provenance
She has a GRP hull and a monohull form, built to a design with exterior styling by Tony Castro Yacht Design. A draught of 1.6 metres keeps her at home in shallow marinas as well as open water. Because she has not yet been built, her history begins with this contract: no prior owner, no prior survey, just the specification a buyer signs off before construction starts.
Layout and accommodation
Sixteen guests can be carried across four cabins, looked after by a crew of two. The full-beam owner's cabin, with its own separate entrance, is one of the four; two stairways lead down to the cabins below. On the bow, buyers get a choice of two layouts: a run of multifunctional power sofas and tables, or a plainer sundeck built around one large sofa.
Performance and engineering
Buyers choose between Volvo Penta and MAN engines driving through a shaft-drive system, with stabilisers fitted as standard to keep her steady at rest. Fuel and water tankage are sized for extended weekends away, the typical cruising pattern for a flybridge motor yacht of this size.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, sunpads and the flybridge itself give two places to sit still, the flybridge laid out with room for a dozen or so guests around a bar and a recreation area. Starlink, an onboard entertainment system and satellite connectivity keep guests connected wherever the anchorage sits.
Where she lies and how to see her
Galeon 680 Fly is being built in Poland, and Boatcrowd takes buyers to the yard to see her build progress. Once an offer is accepted, we co-ordinate her survey and sea trial ahead of delivery, and manage the handover from there.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
