Nakupenda Motor Sailer

Three cabins set the shape of a week aboard Nakupenda, and by day she can carry twelve. Vismara Marine drew the exterior of this 82ft (25m) motor sailer, built in 2014.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 10 knots and can push to 16, a gentle pace between anchorages, with the extra knots in hand when a further stop is worth reaching.

Water toys

An 11ft tender runs guests ashore and back again; a SUP board goes over the side for a paddle around the boat, towable and inflatable toys give the group something to hold onto in the water, and snorkelling gear is aboard for guests who want to look below the surface.

Where she cruises

Male is her home port and she works Maldivian waters through the year, December, January, February and March being her busiest months, and the Maldives is the whole of her cruising ground.

Accommodation and crew

Eight guests sleep aboard and a crew of three looks after them, so there are three pairs of hands for a group of no more than eight. The cabins are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi reaches through the yacht, which keeps the group contactable while at anchor.

Charter notes

Nakupenda suits a family or a group of friends who would rather spend their days in the water than cover distance. Beyond the full week she also takes three-day charters, a shorter rental for a group with less time to spare.
