Red Carpet Motor Sailer

Red Carpet takes twelve guests for a day on the water and sleeps six of them overnight, a 72ft (22m) motor sailer from Vismara, launched in 2017.

Comfort under way

Under sail or on her Yanmar engine she cruises at 11 knots and tops out at 15, so she is not left waiting on the wind to move along the coast.

On deck

Fifteen square metres of sunbathing cushions are laid out on deck, and a shower with hot and cold water up there means the salt comes off before anyone goes below.

Water toys

Her 14ft tender runs guests ashore, and two paddleboards mean two can be out on the water at the same time. Water skis, a Jumbo Dog towable and fins for snorkelling round out what she carries.

Where she cruises

Red Carpet's home port is Portisco in Sardinia, and she cruises Italy and only Italy, with July and August her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Three twin cabins sleep six, each with its own shower and lavatory, and air conditioning throughout. A crew of three runs her, and her captain is an RYA cruising instructor with ocean sailing behind him who works in Italian, English and Spanish.
