Aegir I Motor Sailer

Rogers Yacht Design is behind both the exterior and the interior of Aegir I, a 2010 build refitted in 2020. She is an 82ft (25m) motor sailer from Carbon Ocean Yachts, and the only boat from that yard in our fleet.

Water toys

A 12ft tender comes with the hire and runs guests ashore, while towable toys and snorkelling gear cover the rest: something to be pulled along behind, and a way to look at what lies under the surface.

Where she cruises

Mallorca, Spain, is her home port, and she cruises Spain, France and Italy – three countries of coastline rather than one.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep seven guests, in two doubles, a twin and a single berth. Three crew look after them, so a party this size is closely attended, and air conditioning and Wi-Fi run through the boat, keeping cabins cool and the group connected.

Comfort under way

Aegir I settles at 11 knots under power, with 15 available when there is ground to cover.

On deck

The swim platform sits at water level, which turns a swim into a short step down and an easy return aboard.

Charter notes

She is a small-group charter: a family, or friends travelling together, who would rather have the whole boat than part of a bigger one, with July and August the months most in demand. By day she carries twelve, more than sleep aboard, so a wider group can share the water for the day.
