Shadow Motor Yacht

Shadow came out of Tecnomar in 2013 under the name Zahraa, and a 2023 refit brought this 100ft (31m) motor yacht up to date, down to the back-lit onyx bar and the underwater lights that lift the water around her.

On deck

Open deck space sits forward, above and aft, so a group need not share a single spot. The sun deck carries a jacuzzi, sunbeds and a bar of its own, the bow has custom seating and further sunbeds, and the main deck holds a full-size bar with lounge space next to the saloon.

Water toys

Two Seabobs, an eFoil, a SUP board, inflatable toys and gear for fishing and snorkelling can all be arranged, as can a tender for runs ashore, and the swim platform turns a swim into a straightforward step down.

Where she cruises

Point Piper in Sydney is her home port, and Australia is her cruising ground the year round, with January, February and December her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom, sleep eight guests: a master suite, a VIP suite and a pair of twin cabins. Large windows bring daylight into the main deck and the cabins, and air conditioning and Wi-Fi run throughout. Six crew look after the eight aboard, which keeps the service attentive without a queue for anything.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 20 knots and will run to 22, so the distance between stops passes quickly.

Charter notes

Shadow suits a family or a group of friends, on a week's charter or a shorter hire of a half day, a full day or three days. By day she can hold up to 90 guests for a private party or a corporate event in Australia, which leaves a party of eight with a great deal of deck to spread across.
