Catalana Motor Yacht
About Catalana
The 2020 Season jet ski and the Jetsurf aboard Catalana are only the start: she also carries a beach gazebo with chairs and a portable barbecue for cooking on the sand. Built in 2007 and refitted in 2018, she is a 90ft (27m) Sunseeker motor yacht.
On deck
The aft deck and the top deck give two open-air places to settle, and the top deck has a second helm station. A swim platform keeps the sea a step away rather than a climb.
Water toys
A 14ft Williams tender covers the runs ashore. Two Seabobs and a paddleboard suit the water close in, a tube is there to be towed, and a four-seat party island floats four at a time. Snorkelling gear is aboard for swimming with a mask, and there is a trampoline for the water.
Where she cruises
Catalana works the Bahamas from a home port in the Abacos, with December, January, February and March her peak months.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins sleep eight guests, two with double beds and two twin, a master and a VIP among them. Four crew run her, which is two guests to each of them.
Comfort under way
Her stabilisers work at anchor as well as under way, so there is less roll while she is moving and less when she is stopped for a swim. She cruises at 18 knots and has 29 in hand.
Charter notes
Catalana charters by the week, which suits a family or a group of friends whose Bahamas days are built around swimming and the toys. Twelve can be aboard by day against the eight who sleep, so more of the group can share the time on the water.
