Gypzy Motor Yacht

Two tenders travel with Gypzy: a 48ft Anverra chase boat, driven by twin Mercury 370hp engines and fitted with a hot and cold freshwater shower, a WC and an awning aft, and a Williams 425 jet tender, so a second boat is on hand for going ashore. She is a Princess motor yacht of 85ft (26m), delivered in 2024.

Accommodation and crew

Four ensuite cabins below deck sleep eight guests, with July and August her busiest months. The master suite spans the full beam, with hull windows and a rainfall shower, the VIP suite is full-beam as well, and the other two are a double and a twin whose beds convert into a double. Four crew look after them, a crew member for every two guests.

Comfort under way

Stabilisers run while she is under way, and the hull was engineered for stability as much as for performance, so the passage between destinations is smooth rather than something endured. She cruises at 23 knots and can be pushed to 32.

On deck

The sundeck is her main entertaining space, part-covered by a motorised louvred hardtop that opens or closes to let in more or less sun and air, and it carries a table for eight, a bar with its own grill and the deck jacuzzi, while its freestanding sunloungers can be pushed aside to clear a floor for a workout, with a Technogym all-in-one bench and yoga mats aboard for it. Full-height glass doors slide right back so the main saloon opens onto the aft deck, where another eight can dine outside, and a hydraulic swim platform lowers to the sea for an easy way in and out of the water.

Water toys

Eleven toys ride with her. Two Seabob F5s mean two can be out on them at once, a Lift E-Foil board carries a single rider, and two BOTE inflatable paddleboards give two people a way to paddle. Two towables, a Yamaha and a seated Airhead, each built for two people, go behind the tender, and a floating corn hole game, a Donut Lounge inflatable island, BOTE floating seats and floats go in the water as well.

Where she cruises

Her home port is St Tropez in France, and Gypzy operates in France and Monaco. In practice that is the French Riviera, a coast of beaches, bays and waterfront towns, Monaco itself, and Corsica, all in the western Mediterranean.

Charter notes

Gypzy suits a family or a set of friends, and she can be hired by the day or for three days as well as by the week, with twelve aboard for a day on the water, so a party larger than her overnight complement can join her. The twin cabin that converts to a double is what lets the same layout serve a family and a group of friends alike.
