Royal Princess Motor Yacht

Three crew for four guests overnight – almost a crew member apiece – is what sets the tone aboard Royal Princess. She is a 65ft (20m) motor yacht from Princess, launched in 2001 and given a refit in 2015.

Accommodation and crew

Her two cabins each hold a double bed and are air-conditioned, and four sleep aboard, so two couples travelling together have a room apiece.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 21 knots and has 35 at the top end, so a bay some distance off is still within easy reach and the running is done quickly.

Water toys

A 13ft tender takes guests ashore, and snorkelling gear travels with her, so a swim off the boat can turn into a look at what lies under it.

Where she cruises

Port Louis in Mauritius is her home port, and Mauritius is the whole of her cruising ground, coast and anchorages alike. She works year-round, with January, February, March and December the peak months.

Charter notes

Two couples travelling together are the party she is set up for, and half-day and full-day hire is offered too, which brings six aboard for time on the water instead of a night at anchor.
