Elegant Lady Motor Yacht

A refit in 2021 brought Elegant Lady up to date, and what she offers now is straightforward: four guests staying aboard, and up to twelve on board for a day on the water. Meridian built her in 2006, a 58ft (17m) motor yacht.

On deck

The swim platform does the quiet work on a boat this size, because getting into the sea and back out again becomes a step down rather than a scramble over the side.

Water toys

Snorkelling gear travels with her, so a stop over clear water means going in and looking at it rather than studying it from the deck, and her 13ft tender takes people ashore.

Where she cruises

Freeport is Elegant Lady's home port in the Bahamas, and she works from Miami too, which puts the waters of both the Bahamas and the USA within her reach.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins, a king and a queen, give two couples a proper room each with a door that closes. Four guests sleep aboard and a crew of two runs her, so there is a crew member for every pair of guests. The cabins are air-conditioned, and she carries Wi-Fi for anyone who cannot go dark for a week; her busiest months are December, January, February and March.

Charter notes

Shorter trips suit her as well – half a day, a day, or three days – though for two couples a week's hire is where Elegant Lady makes most sense, with a cabin for each pair and the water a step away.
