C2 Superyacht

Hydraulic stairs lower from the beach club of C2 and end in the sea, so the way into the water is a walk down steps rather than a jump off the swim platform. She is a 109ft (33m) Mangusta Gransport superyacht with an interior by Alberto Mancini, new in 2022.

Accommodation and crew

She sleeps ten guests in five cabins, with six crew aboard to look after them. The master cabin takes the full width of the boat and sits forward on the main deck, with a sofa, a desk, his-and-hers bathrooms and a television set into the ceiling over the king-size bed, and windows down both sides bring the water into the room until the blinds close.

Comfort under way

Volvo Penta pod drives give C2 a top speed of 25 knots and a cruise of 21, at which she burns 550 litres an hour, and her hull form keeps the ride comfortable at that pace. Stabilisers run both when she is moving and when she lies stopped, so the roll is checked at anchor as well as on passage.

On deck

The foredeck carries a jacuzzi dip pool, a large sunpad and an open-air lounge, with an awning the crew can rig over it for shade. The sundeck has its own lounge, an outdoor dining area shaded by the hardtop and a cocktail bar, and the main-deck cockpit aft holds a further lounge, so the party can spread across separate outdoor spaces. Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass and tall sliding doors open the saloon, both lounge and dining room, to views in three directions. Free weights, resistance bands, a training bench and yoga mats travel aboard, enough for a workout without going ashore.

Water toys

A Williams Jet tender 385 runs guests ashore, and she carries a Waverunner jet ski, two Seabobs and two e-foils, so a pair can be up on the foils at once, along with two stand-up paddleboards, water skis, a wakeboard and inflatable tows to be pulled behind. Snorkelling gear comes too, and an anti-jellyfish pool gives a net enclosure for swimming off the boat.

Where she cruises

C2 is based at Mallorca, in Spain, and her range takes in France, Monaco, Italy and Malta. Menorca and Ibiza, also among Spain's Balearic Islands, are within reach. Cala Macarelleta on Menorca has water clear enough for snorkelling, Es Vedra rises straight out of the sea off Ibiza, and at Las Salinas a walk leads up from the shore to a pirate watchtower. On Mallorca itself, Port de Soller gives a well-sheltered anchorage and Cala Mondrago sits inside Mondrago National Park.

Charter notes

C2 is offered for charter by the week or as a three-day rental, and her busiest weeks fall in July and August. She suits two couples travelling together as much as a family, and by day she can take twelve aboard. Three of her cabins are fixed doubles and two switch between a double and twin beds, so the sleeping plan bends to whoever is coming.
