FG Star mini Motor Yacht

Both sides of her cockpit fold down when she is moored, and FG Star mini gains more than 2 metres of beam through the Beach Mode that Galeon builds into her, so the aft end of this 46ft (14m) motor yacht becomes a terrace for diving, fishing or lying in the sun. A full-size hydraulic stern platform lifts her toys clear of the water and opens onto a covered grill station with a sink, a cutting board and lockers underneath. Tony Castro Design Studio drew her exterior, with big windows on both her decks that keep the interior bright, and she was built in 2024.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests below deck, and both bathrooms down there have a head and a shower at standing height. Two of the cabins carry queen beds and the third a single bed, while the saloon sofa converts into a further berth by dropping its table. A crew of two runs her, and the galley sits forward on the main deck with a large electric window to the port side that opens while the cooking is done.

Comfort under way

Her two engines give a cruise of 25 knots and a top speed of 30, so a passage between stops is short, and the bimini over the sundeck stows away while she is moving; her season peaks in July and August. The forward-facing bow seat has a backrest for whoever wants to feel that speed, and the helm on the flybridge gives clear visibility for manoeuvring, with a double seat at the lower helm where a companion can sit beside the wheel.

On deck

Up on the flybridge of FG Star mini an L-shaped sofa wraps around a long table that seats six, which means the whole overnight party can sit down together in the open air, and a wet bar keeps refreshments to hand. Starboard sliding doors beside the helm lead to the bow, where a foldable bimini and a front-facing seat give shelter. Inside, only sliding glass doors separate the saloon from the cockpit.

Water toys

Three items travel with her: a 10ft Williams tender that takes guests ashore, fishing gear and snorkelling kit, and the hydraulic platform that stows them doubles as her swim platform, which puts the water a step away.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Split, in Croatia, and she operates in Croatia and Montenegro, which gives her guests two coastlines to choose between.

FG Star mini suits a family or a circle of friends who want a small boat of their own with a crew to run her: six sleep aboard on a week's charter or a three-day hire, and by day she has room for twelve.
