Sea Kid Power Boat

Ninety litres an hour goes through Sea Kid's engines, two Volvo Penta IPS drives in the hull of a 40ft (12m) Fjord Open, a power boat from 2007 that was refitted in 2020.

Accommodation and crew

A single air-conditioned cabin with a double berth sleeps two overnight, and for a day on the water she can carry eight. She is run by one crew member, which works out at one pair of hands to her two overnight guests.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 28 knots and will hold 40 flat out, which brings a bay further along the shore into range.

On deck

Her swim platform turns getting into the sea into a step down rather than a climb over the side.

Water toys

Three toys travel with her: a Seabob, a stand-up paddleboard and snorkelling gear, three separate ways of being in the water rather than looking at it.

Where she cruises

Corfu is Sea Kid's home port and Greece her cruising ground, Ionian water, with July and August the busiest of her season.

Charter notes

Her hire also takes eight aboard for a day out in Greece, though she is built around two: a cabin for a couple, and a crew member to look after the boat while they use the water.
