Rhino I Power Boat
About Rhino I
Line-fishing gear and snorkel sets in a range of sizes come aboard Rhino I, so a group can spend as much of the day in the water as on it. She is a 42ft (13m) power boat from Custom Made, finished in 2012 and put together for speed and for swimming.
Accommodation and crew
Up to 14 guests come aboard by day, with a crew of three running the boat and looking after them. Individual banquettes line each side of the cabin under cover, out of the sun, and the interior is air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi reaching across the boat.
Comfort under way
Rhino I cruises at 30 knots and holds 42 at the top end, which brings a distant stretch of coast within reach of a single outing.
On deck
There is open deck at the bow and more of it aft, and the rooftop level is given over to lying in the sun. A freshwater shower rinses the salt off, there is an electric flush toilet aboard, and the sound system plays from a phone.
Water toys
A stand-up paddleboard and a large inflatable ocean float go over the side, and she doubles as a dive vessel, so a certified diver can go down rather than stay on the surface.
Where she cruises
Bali is her home port, and she explores the islands around it and the waters of Indonesia more widely, among them Penida and Lembongan and the coast off Nusa Dua, with January to March and December her peak months.
Charter notes
Rhino I is hired by the half day or the full day, so a group staying in Indonesia can take a few hours or a whole day afloat, with the crew, the cruising permits and the harbour clearances handled for everyone aboard.
