About Ability I

Ability I burns 1300 litres of fuel an hour, and the return on that consumption is a superyacht that puts the miles between anchorages behind her quickly. She came out of the Codecasa yard in 2007 and was refitted in 2023.

Water toys

A single jet ski travels aboard for one rider at a time, together with two Seabobs, so two people can be out on them at once, and two paddleboards for two paddlers. Water skis, a wakeboard, two Jobe Crushers and a tube are there for towing, and snorkelling gear is carried for anyone who wants to swim with a mask on. Her 15ft tender runs guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Ability I keeps her home port at Athens in Greece and cruises the waters of Greece, with July and August the heart of her season, so a week aboard begins with the Greek coast already at hand.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep eleven guests overnight, and by day she can carry twelve. Eight crew look after them, which for a party of eleven means eight people whose only work is the yacht and the guests on her.

Comfort under way

A 138ft (42m) hull that cruises at 28 knots and has 33 in hand brings distant anchorages within reach, and a passage that would be a long haul on a slower boat is shortened accordingly.

On deck

A swim platform puts the sea a single step down from the deck, the easiest way into the water for a swimmer and the plainest way back aboard.

Charter notes

Ability I is hired by the week and suits two couples sharing her, or a family of up to eleven, who want speed between stops and a full set of toys once she is anchored. Eight crew for eleven guests means the yacht is worked for the people aboard her and never by them.
