Star of the Sea Motor Yacht

The jacuzzi aboard Star of the Sea sits out on deck in the open air, and the 115ft (35m) motor yacht beneath it was drawn and built by Benetti in 1983, then refitted in 2005.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Pointe a Pitre in Guadeloupe, and she cruises between Guadeloupe and Martinique, which gives guests two grounds rather than a single shoreline.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, and sixteen can come aboard when she goes out for the day. Seven crew run her, so there is more than a crew member for every two guests.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers steady her when she is stopped and when she is moving, so the roll stays down at anchor as well as on passage. She cruises at 9 knots, with 19 knots in hand.

Water toys

A beach tender takes guests ashore, and the Wave Runner takes a rider out. Water skis, a wakeboard and towables travel with her too, along with a canoe to paddle and gear for fishing and snorkelling.

Who she suits

She suits two couples travelling together as readily as a family, and her peak months are January, February, March and December. A charter can run a full week or three days, and she can also be hired for a single day, which gives a family three lengths of trip to choose between.
