Lucy Power Boat

A 30-knot cruise with 40 knots in hand is unusual on a boat of this size, and it is the making of Lucy: a 27ft (9m) Beneteau power boat built in 2019, quick enough that water which would be a long haul in something slower is a short run in her, and quick enough that changing anchorage costs almost nothing in time.

Water toys

Snorkelling gear travels with her, so a stop over ground worth looking at can be spent in the water rather than watching it from the deck.

Where she cruises

Krk, in Croatia, is her home port, and Croatia is her cruising ground – a single country's coastline rather than a run across borders – with July and August her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Her single cabin sleeps a guest overnight, while by day she carries 4, and the crew of 1 who runs her takes the helm, the mooring lines and the anchoring off the guests' hands.

Day trips are what Lucy is set up for, and a couple will take the most from her – a hire with the boat run for them, and room to bring friends along for the day.
