Balance Motor Yacht

Alberto Mancini drew the exterior of Balance and Fabio Fantolino her interior, worked in light oak and brushed metals, and between them they gave the Azimut 82 Fly its face, a model that opens a new generation for its builder. She is a motor yacht of 82ft (25m), completed in 2026, with three decks for guests to spread across.

Comfort under way

Three Volvo Penta IPS drives take her to 32 knots, and her light carbon and GRP build keeps the ride quiet at that pace. A Seakeeper gyro runs whether she is moving or lying at anchor, so there is less roll in both, and a bow thruster lets her captain put her neatly alongside a quay.

On deck

Teak covers every deck, and the flybridge is her defining space: a wet bar with sink, fridge and barbecue shares it with an alfresco table for eight, so the whole party can sit down outdoors together, and sunpads fill the forward and aft ends. The bow carries a cushioned sunbathing lounge of its own and the cockpit a lounge with a dining table, while a hydraulic swim platform and a hot-and-cold deck shower make going into the sea and coming out again simple. Inside, panoramic windows and sliding glass doors give the saloon its light.

Water toys

An E-foil heads her toys, and alongside it she carries a Sea-Doo jet ski, a Seabob, a stand-up paddleboard, a wakeboard, water skis and a fun tube for towing, with a Williams jet tender to run guests ashore. Eight sets of snorkelling gear come with Balance, so each of eight guests has a set of their own.

Where she cruises

Hvar is her home port and Croatia her cruising ground, in a season that peaks over July and August. She cruises the Dalmatian coast and its islands, Split and Dubrovnik are within her reach, and so are the Kvarner islands to the north, and what these waters give a party is sheltered bays to anchor in and harbour towns to walk through.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep eight guests in three doubles and a twin, each with its own bathroom, and eight is her limit by day as well. The master suite takes her full beam, with large windows, a vanity and a marble bathroom with double sinks and a rain shower, and every cabin controls its own air conditioning. Three crew, a captain, a deckhand and a hostess, look after the eight; the hostess keeps house and serves breakfast and a single light meal each day.

Balance suits a family or a group of friends of up to eight who want to hire a boat fresh from her builder in Croatia, and her shortest booking is three days. Her cockpit extends into a terrace at sea level, so at anchor all eight can sit at the level of the sea.
