Ale Motor Yacht

The saloon of Ale opens straight onto her aft deck, so the air-conditioned interior and the open air run together without a break, and Starlink and an outdoor sound system carry a connection and music out onto the deck with them. Alberto Mancini drew the exterior of this Azimut, an 80ft (25m) motor yacht launched in 2024 with an open superstructure.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep nine guests: a master with a king bed, a queen cabin, a twin, and a second twin with a pullman berth, which is where the ninth guest sleeps. A crew of three, her captain and two others, runs her and handles everything aboard, leaving the nine free to set their own pace.

Comfort under way

Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, three pods of it, drives her planing hull up to 34 knots and holds 28 at a cruise, and she burns 385 litres of fuel an hour, so she covers distance quickly. The stabilisers work at anchor and at speed, leaving less roll in either case.

On deck

Her sport flybridge carries lounge seating and sunpads in the open, a place to sit and a place to lie in the sun up top, and the swim platform is the guests' own way down into the sea.

Water toys

A Williams Sportjet 395 tender takes the party ashore, and six toys go into the water too: a Seadoo jet ski and a Seabob FS/SR, a stand-up paddleboard and an inflatable kayak for paddling away from the boat, snorkelling gear for looking under the surface, and pool noodles for floating next to her.

Where she cruises

Amalfi in Italy is Ale's home port, and Italy is the whole of her cruising ground. The Bay of Naples, the Pontine Islands, the Aeolian Islands and Sardinia are all within her reach, and the two island groups mean anchorages off more than a single shore, with the height of her season falling in July and August.

Charter notes

Ale suits two couples or a family who want the passage to be quick and the toys and the flybridge ready when the anchor is down. She can be hired for a week, for three days or as a day charter, and the day charter is the booking for a party larger than her beds, since she carries twelve guests by day.
