My Laura Motor Yacht

Three crew run My Laura for six guests, and much of what makes that work sits out of sight: a water maker that fills her tanks from the sea, a galley with a dishwasher, an icemaker and a ceramic hob, and a washer-dryer, so fresh water and laundry are handled on board.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six aboard this 2016 Azimut – the owner's cabin and the VIP each with a queen bed, the third with single beds – sharing two bathrooms, with air conditioning through the cabins and the saloon.

Comfort under way

Twin MAN engines give this 59ft (18m) motor yacht a 24-knot cruise and 30 knots at her maximum, and with thrusters at bow and stern and joystick control at the helm her crew can work her into a tight berth.

On deck

Up on the flybridge there is a wet bar, a fridge and freezer and a grill, so cooking and drinks stay in the open air, and a sunbathing pad is up there too, with further cushions on the bow. The cockpit is laid in teak, as are the sidedecks and the bow, the cockpit table is fixed in place, and a hot shower at the stern takes the salt off after a swim.

Water toys

An 11ft ZAR tender rides on the hydraulic platform, which lowers to the water so getting in and back out takes little effort, and the dinghy tows water-skiers; snorkelling gear is aboard for looking under the surface.

Where she cruises

Sibenik is her home port, and My Laura cruises Croatia, July and August her busiest months.

Charter notes

She suits a family or a group of friends, and days out and three-day trips are both possible, so a day hire in Croatia can bring twelve aboard rather than six.
