Genesis Motor Yacht

Two paddleboards travel with Genesis, along with water skis, a wakeboard and a towable tube, so a stop at anchor gives the party something to paddle, something to ride and something to be towed on. She is a 59ft (18m) Azimut motor yacht built in 2023.

Comfort under way

Genesis cruises at 26 knots with 31 available when it is wanted, which keeps a long stretch of coast within reach of a single day. She uses 260 litres of fuel an hour, a figure worth having in mind when a long run is weighed against a short move between bays.

On deck

A swim platform brings the water to within a step of her deck, so going in for a swim and climbing back aboard asks little of the swimmer.

Water toys

Six toys come with her in all. A 13ft Williams tender carries the party ashore, and snorkelling kit gives whoever is curious a way to see what lies beneath her.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Sibenik in Croatia, and she cruises both Croatia and Montenegro, so a week can keep to the waters near her base or push on into the second of her two countries.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests, a king, a double and a twin, with air conditioning throughout so the cabins stay cool. Two crew look after them – July and August are her peak months – which on a six-guest yacht means each crew member has three guests to attend to.

Charter notes

Genesis suits a family or a group of friends who treat the toys as the point of the week rather than an extra. She is offered for hire by the week or for three days, and while a charter aboard her sleeps six, she carries twelve by day, so the group on board can be twice the number who sleep on her.
