Alibaba Motor Yacht

Each of her three cabins has its own bathroom, and the two crew keep a cabin to themselves, all within 59ft (18m). Alibaba came from Azimut in 2022, a motor yacht whose hardtop carries a soft top that opens and closes electrically, for sun or for shade.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 27 knots with 30 knots at the top, so another bay along the coast is no great haul. Bow and stern thrusters, a manoeuvring joystick and a remote Yachtcontroller take the strain out of coming alongside, and electric trim tabs settle her under way.

On deck

Teak covers the cockpit, where the table takes meals in the open air, and a transom door leads out to a hydraulic bathing platform with a ladder, so the sea is a step down rather than a climb. The stern shower runs warm or cold for rinsing off salt, and her watermaker makes fresh water aboard.

Water toys

Her 10ft Pirelli tender runs the trips ashore, and snorkelling gear is aboard for time spent under the surface.

Where she cruises

Sibenik is Alibaba's home port, on the coast of Croatia, and she works Croatia and south into Montenegro.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins have queen beds and the third twin singles, six berths in all, and a captain and a hostess crew her, two crew for six guests.

Charter notes

Alibaba charters by the week, over three days or for a single day, her peak months being July and August. She suits a family or a group of friends, and for a day's hire she takes twelve, so more of them can be aboard with her on the water.
