Holidays and school breaks that suit these waters
For a group of 10, a motor yacht in the 80’-98’ range typically offers four to five cabins with comfortable sleeping for all guests plus generous deck and salon space. If you’d prefer more room or plan to entertain, a superyacht over 100’ provides additional crew, a larger tender and expansive outdoor areas.
Absolutely. A popular route extends south from Tokyo Bay along the Kanagawa coast to the Izu Peninsula, a volcanic coastline of hot springs, sea caves and white-sand beaches roughly 50 to 60 nautical miles from Yokohama. The 3-day Shonan Coast and 4-day Izu itineraries combine neatly into a comprehensive 7-day voyage.
Very much so. Tokyo Bay and the Kanagawa coast offer calm, sheltered anchorages ideal for young swimmers, and the cultural excursions, Kamakura’s Great Buddha, Enoshima’s shrines, Sarushima’s island trails, keep children engaged without long transfers. Crew can arrange age-appropriate water toys and flexible meal schedules.
Six to twelve months is ideal for October to November peak season and cherry blossom weeks in late March to April, when demand for the Kanagawa coast fleet is at its highest. Summer and winter charters are easier to secure at shorter notice, though booking at least three months ahead ensures the widest choice of yachts and preferred departure dates.
