Phi Phi Itineraries: Day Charters and Multi-Day Routes
Phi Phi’s compact geography and central Andaman location make it accessible for everything from a single-day visit to an extended island-hopping charter. Below are the most popular routes, designed so the multi-day itineraries cover different ground and can be combined for longer voyages.
Best Day Charter Routes to Phi Phi
Phi Phi Highlights (Full Day from Phuket)
Depart Phuket early for a fast crossing to Phi Phi Leh. Arrive at Maya Bay in the quiet morning light before day-trip boats. Float in Pileh Lagoon, snorkel Loh Sama Bay’s coral bommies, and cruise past Viking Cave. Lunch on deck anchored off Phi Phi Don, then tender to Monkey Beach for a quick visit. Afternoon snorkelling at Bamboo Island’s shallow reef before the sunset cruise back to Phuket.
Phi Phi and Bamboo Island (Full Day from Krabi)
A 30–60 minute crossing from Krabi puts you at Phi Phi by mid-morning. Explore Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon, then cruise to Bamboo Island for a private beach picnic on white sand. Snorkel the fringing reef, try paddleboarding in the shallows, and return to Krabi as the sun drops behind the limestone peaks.
Phi Phi and Koh Mai Phai Snorkelling Day
A snorkelling-focused day starting at Mosquito Island’s rocky east-side reef (colourful corals, less visited), then moving to Bamboo Island’s shallow gardens. After lunch at anchor, cruise to Phi Phi Leh for Pileh Lagoon and a final drift snorkel at Loh Sama Bay. Ideal for families and underwater photography.
3-Day Phi Phi and Krabi Charter (Phuket Round-Trip)
A short, focused itinerary covering Phi Phi’s greatest hits plus the dramatic Krabi coastline. Every day is different ground.
Day 1: Phuket to Phi Phi Islands
Depart Phuket marina and cruise southeast to Phi Phi Leh. Morning at Maya Bay in the golden early light, then float in Pileh Lagoon’s turquoise stillness. Lunch on deck with the cliffs towering above. Afternoon snorkelling at Loh Sama Bay and a tender ride past Viking Cave. Anchor off Phi Phi Don’s quieter east coast for a sunset dinner on deck with Tonsai’s lights twinkling across the water.
Day 2: Phi Phi Don and Bamboo Island
Morning hike to Phi Phi Don’s famous viewpoint for the twin-bay panorama – bring the camera. Return to the yacht for brunch, then cruise to Bamboo Island for the day. Snorkel the fringing reef, paddleboard in gin-clear shallows, and enjoy a private beach barbecue set up by your chef. Late afternoon visit to Mosquito Island’s rocky coves for quieter snorkelling. Overnight at anchor near Bamboo.
Day 3: Koh Hong and Railay, Return to Phuket
Early cruise northeast to Krabi’s Koh Hong. Kayak into the emerald interior lagoon through the narrow rock entrance – one of the Andaman’s most magical spots. Continue to Railay Beach for a walk beneath the towering cliffs and a swim at Phra Nang. Lunch on board, then a relaxed cruise back to Phuket via Koh Yao Noi with a final swim stop. Arrive at the marina by late afternoon.
4-Day Phi Phi, Racha, and Southern Islands Charter (Phuket Round-Trip)
An extended route heading south of Phi Phi to the Racha Islands and quieter southern waters. Covers entirely different ground from the 3-day itinerary above, so the two can be combined into a 7-day voyage.
Day 1: Phuket to Racha Islands
Depart Phuket and cruise south to Racha Yai. Anchor in the lagoon for aquarium-clear snorkelling over coral gardens and tropical fish. Lunch on deck, then dinghy to a quiet beach for an afternoon swim. For divers, Racha Noi’s deeper waters offer encounters with manta rays during the right season. Sunset drinks at anchor with Phuket’s Promthep Cape silhouetted on the horizon.
Day 2: Racha to Phi Phi Leh
Morning water sports at Racha – kayaking, jet ski, or a final snorkel. Then cruise east to Phi Phi Leh. Arrive for a late-morning float in Pileh Lagoon when the day boats have thinned. Afternoon at Maya Bay in the quieter post-lunch window. Snorkel Loh Sama Bay as the light turns golden. Anchor overnight off the southern tip of Phi Phi Leh for a starlit dinner in near-total silence.
Day 3: Phi Phi Don and Shark Point
Morning tender to Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Don, then optional viewpoint hike. Brunch on the yacht, then cruise northwest toward Shark Point for a rendezvous dive (leopard sharks, soft corals, barracuda schools). Non-divers snorkel at nearby Koh Dok Mai’s vertical walls. Continue north and anchor off Koh Yao Noi for a quiet evening in the Phang Nga strait with dramatic karst views.
Day 4: Koh Yao Noi to Phuket
A relaxed final morning. Explore Koh Yao Noi by tender – a peaceful Muslim fishing community with rice paddies and mangroves, a world away from Phuket’s buzz. Kayak the mangrove channels or simply swim off the yacht. Lunch on board as you cruise the short distance back to Phuket marina. Final crew farewells and transfer to your hotel or airport.
