Royal Rita Power Catamaran
About Royal Rita
Two Aquascooters and a tube that seats four travel with Royal Rita, along with spinning rods and snorkelling gear, and her Bahamian crew know the local reefs and fishing marks. She is a 78ft (23m) power catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, built in 2016 and refitted in 2022.
On deck
A hydraulic section of deck drops to the water, so swimmers go in from a platform at sea level. Tables are laid inside and out, which lets the whole group sit down to a meal in the open air or indoors, and there is an outdoor lounge on the upper deck. The interior is white and contemporary, finished in ostrich leather with splashes of colour.
Water toys
Four paddleboards come aboard, a child's board among them, with a kayak that can be pedalled or paddled and a kneeboard for anyone who wants to be towed. The 16ft Highfield tender takes guests ashore.
Where she cruises
Royal Rita works the Bahamas from her home port at Harbour Island, flies the Bahamas flag and is available all year, January, February, March and December being her strongest months.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep eight, and a twin layout can be arranged in place of a double. A crew of four looks after them, a crew member for every two guests, and the cabins are air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi aboard.
Comfort under way
Her GRP hull cruises at 17 knots and tops out at 21, so she covers the distance between islands quickly.
Charter notes
Royal Rita suits a family with children aboard, or a group of friends taking her together for a week's hire. Eight sleep aboard and twelve can be aboard for a day on the water.
