Amber One Luxury Catamaran

Fishing gear and a Seabob both travel with Amber One, a 69ft (21m) luxury catamaran that Sunreef Yachts built in 2023 and that is taken on charter by the week.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins, each with a double bed, sleep eight guests overnight, and a crew of four looks after them, so the eight have four people attending to them for the whole of the week. The cabins are air-conditioned and she carries Wi-Fi, which means cool nights below and a connection to the shore.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 10 knots and reaches 14 at most, and because her weight is carried on two hulls she stays level whether she is stopped at anchor or moving between anchorages.

On deck

A swim platform brings her deck down to the water, so a swimmer steps straight off her and back on again at sea level.

Water toys

A single jet ski gives one rider an engine of their own, while water skis, a wakeboard and a kneeboard are all pulled behind, so the way to be towed can change from rider to rider. Two kayaks take two paddlers, snorkelling gear is aboard for looking at what lies beneath her, and a 20ft tender carries the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Amber One keeps her home port at Split, in Croatia, and her cruising grounds are the waters of Croatia and Montenegro, two countries' worth of harbours and bays to drop anchor in.

Charter notes

Amber One is hired by the week, July and August being the height of her season, and she suits a family or a group of friends. Her overnight count is not her limit, though: by day she can have twelve people aboard, so a day on her can hold a larger party than a night does.
