Ahalya Luxury Catamaran

An e-foil comes with Ahalya at an extra charge, and a Technogym bench with its equipment and an exercise app is aboard as well, so there is a way to train without going ashore. She is a 60ft (18m) luxury catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, built in 2025.

Comfort under way

Two hulls carry Ahalya, which means a level deck at anchor and under way, and under engine she cruises at 10 knots with 12 knots in hand. She sails as well, with her main helm up on the flybridge, and a watermaker keeps the deck shower and the en suite bathrooms in fresh water without a marina tap.

On deck

Teak covers the cockpit and the decks, and she carries three sun decks. The flybridge is laid out for lounging rather than driving: sun loungers, large sun pads and movable furniture, with a wet bar and a barbecue, so the cooking can move outside. An alfresco dining area fills the aft cockpit, a large aft platform steps down to the sea for swimming, and on the bow a terrace of sun pads and lounge seating sits sheltered from sun and wind. The saloon, a central lounge with large windows and a panoramic view, opens forward onto that terrace and aft onto the cockpit, and underwater LED lights light the sea beneath her hulls.

Water toys

Twelve kinds of toy travel with her. Water skis, a wakeboard, a kneeboard, a towable ring and a water tube all run behind a boat, two Seabobs join two stand-up paddleboards and a kayak, and floating mats give the swimmers somewhere to lie. Snorkelling sets and fishing gear are aboard for the seabed and for whoever wants to fish, beach and board games come along too, and a RIB tender runs the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Ahalya keeps her home port at Dubrovnik and cruises Croatia from there, with Split as an alternative start port and July and August the height of her season. Croatia's island of Vis lies well out from the mainland and is the quieter for it, and the Kornati National Park is a scatter of remote islands where a handful of farmers and fishermen still work as they long have, producing wine and olive oil.

Accommodation and crew

Four double cabins, each en suite and set down in the two hulls, sleep eight guests in a king bed and three queens, and the master among them has a walk-in dressing room, a desk, a sofa and a large bathroom. Eight is also her figure by day, and a crew of three, captain, chef and stewardess, all English speakers with cabins of their own apart from the guests, looks after those eight. Her chef builds his menus on local, organically grown produce.

Charter notes

Ahalya suits a family or a party of friends, and she is taken by the week or for a minimum of three days, so a shorter hire is possible as well as a full charter week.
