Lena Luxury Catamaran

A jacuzzi set out on deck is an unusual thing at 50ft (15m), and Lena has hers in the open air, so a soak in warm water comes with the sky above and the sea around it. Sunreef Yachts built her in 2023, and the jacuzzi is the clearest sign of how this luxury catamaran has been laid out around the water.

On deck

Her swim platform does the same job at sea level: the water is right there, so getting in and back out is a step rather than a climb, as many times as anyone wants it.

Water toys

She carries nine toys, the least common of them a single e-foil, the electric board that lifts its rider clear of the surface. Two stand-up paddleboards mean two people can paddle off together, and a kayak, a surfboard and a wakeboard give the rest of the party something of their own to ride. Inflatable toys and a trampoline are for playing in the water rather than crossing it, and fishing and snorkelling gear take the interest below the surface. Her 16ft tender runs guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Lena's home port is Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands, and her cruising grounds are the British Virgin Islands themselves and the USVI, so a week's charter aboard her has two sets of waters to draw on.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep six guests, so three couples have a full double each, and a family fills the same three beds without a bunk among them. A crew of two run her and look after those six.

Comfort under way

Riding on two hulls she sits level at anchor and under way, with little of the roll that disturbs a night's sleep. At 7 knots of cruising speed and 11 litres of fuel an hour, distance is covered at an unhurried pace. Air conditioning keeps the interior cool and Wi-Fi keeps the party in touch with home, and her peak weeks come in December and again from January to March.

Charter notes

Lena is offered for hire by the week and suits a family or a group of friends: six sleep aboard, and by day she can carry twelve, so a larger party can share the deck and the toys for the day even though six is her overnight number.
