Wish Sailing Catamaran

Wish uses 50 litres of fuel an hour when her two Yanmar engines are running, though as a Lagoon she is made to sail: a 60ft (18m) sailing catamaran built in 2025, with VPLP behind her lines, laid out so that a guest can walk from her aft cockpit, through the saloon and out onto the bow with nothing to climb over on the way.

Where she cruises

Santorini is her home port, the harbour a week aboard sets out from, and Greece is her cruising ground, her high season running through July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Five double cabins sleep ten guests, each with its own bathroom, air conditioning and a safe for valuables, and by day she carries no more than those same ten. A crew of three sails her and looks after her guests, three pairs of hands for ten people.

Comfort under way

Under power Wish holds 9 knots and can reach 12, and the steps up into her aft cockpit are wide and gently angled, made for sure footing rather than a scramble.

On deck

The aft cockpit opens straight onto the sea, and its side terraces fold out to extend the platform, so there is more room to lounge and a direct way into the water. A door ahead of the saloon leads to a forward cockpit whose floor runs flush with the saloon's, so moving between the two is level and unobstructed, and each living space opens onto a wide view. Inside, tall vertical windows fill the saloon with daylight, and up on the sundeck an open-air dining area shares the deck with a sun lounge, so meals can be taken outside with the view open all round.

Water toys

Her tender is a Highfield 420 with a Honda 60hp outboard, the boat that takes guests ashore. Two Seabobs and two Sea Scooters travel with her, alongside two SUPs and two inflatable kayaks that each seat two paddlers. A wakeboard is sized for adults, an inflatable sofa seats two for towing, and fishing tackle and snorkelling gear are aboard, so the water around her is there to fish from and to look into as well as to swim in.

Charter notes

Wish suits two couples or a family, and she can be taken on a charter of a full week or for a three-day hire. Her waterskis come in sizes for children as well as adults, so the youngest guests can ski too.
