Dolly Sailing Catamaran

Under engine Dolly uses 30 litres of fuel an hour, and that figure counts only the hours the engines run, because she carries sail as well. She is a 67ft (20m) Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran built in 2023, and on a yacht charter aboard her the wind is the second way of moving her.

On deck

Her swim platform is the low and easy way into the sea and back out of it for all aboard.

Water toys

Ten toys travel with Dolly. Two Seabobs put two riders in the water at a time, the paddleboard and the kayak each take a single paddler away from the boat, and there is an E-foil besides. Her 15ft Highfield tender tows the water skis, the wakeboard and the towable tube and runs the party ashore, while fishing and snorkelling gear complete the count, so a line can go over the side and a mask under the surface.

Where she cruises

Mykonos is Dolly's home port and Greece is where she sails, the peak of her year falling in July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests, and with a queen bed in each of them every pair aboard gets the same size of bed. A crew of three sails her and looks after the ten. The cabins are air-conditioned and she carries Wi-Fi, so the party sleeps cool and stays connected.

Comfort under way

Two hulls hold Dolly upright under sail rather than heeled, and level once the anchor is down; under power she cruises at 8 knots with 10 available.

Charter notes

Her hire suits two couples or a family, and with twelve allowed aboard by day the group can be larger than the group that sleeps on her.
