Jemme Sailing Catamaran
About Jemme
Line-fishing tackle, a jet ski and a stand-up paddleboard sit among the nine toys aboard Jemme, a 43ft (13m) sailing catamaran built by Fountaine Pajot in 2008.
Water toys
A kayak, a kneeboard, a towable tube and inflatables fill out the rest, and the snorkelling gear comes in a range of sizes so everyone aboard can be fitted. Her rear platforms are the staging point for going in, and an 11ft tender takes guests ashore. Diving can be added.
Where she cruises
Bali is Jemme's home port, and she cruises Indonesia all year, December through March being her peak months. Within Indonesia she reaches Nusa Lembongan and Penida, the coast off Nusa Dua, and Gili Island and Lombok.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins, each with a private bathroom and a pressurised hot water shower, sleep six overnight, and by day she can carry fourteen. A crew of four runs her, and there is a television in every cabin.
Comfort under way
She makes 8 knots with 12 at the top end, and inside, seating wraps a central table with views on all sides, so guests can eat while she sails.
On deck
Her decks run over three levels. Giant bean bags sit on the netted canopy, a shaded canopy covers banquette seating and a corner table where the barbecue is served, and the top deck carries cushioned double sun beds. A freshwater shower on deck rinses off the salt, and the interior is air-conditioned.
Charter notes
Jemme suits a family or a group of friends who want time in the water rather than miles covered. She also takes a day charter of 8 hours or a half-day hire of 4, and transfers from hotel or villa come in an air-conditioned vehicle, so guests are collected ashore rather than finding their own way to the dock.
