About License to Chill

Her saloon is open-plan and bright, and the Bali garage door opens it to the air so that inside and outside become a single living space – the layout Bali Catamarans is built around. License to Chill, a sailing catamaran of 55ft (17m), was built in 2019.

On deck

The flybridge has a lounge and room to lie in the sun, and the foredeck carries sunpads of its own. The aft deck is set up for meals in the open, and from the swim platform the water is a short step down and simple to climb back out of.

Water toys

Two paddleboards and a kayak travel with her, along with two canoes, so several can be out on the water together. Snorkelling and fishing are both provided for, and a 3.6m tender with a 30hp outboard handles the trips ashore.

Where she cruises

License to Chill sails the waters of Greece from her home port at Lefkada, with July and August her busiest months.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins – a queen, three doubles and a twin – sleep ten guests, and the same ten can be aboard for a day on the water. A crew of three looks after them, with air conditioning and WiFi throughout, a television and a Bluetooth system for the group's own music, and a galley with fridge, freezer, ice maker and oven.

Comfort under way

License to Chill runs at 9 knots, with 10 knots at her fastest, and her twin hulls carry a broad deck that leaves plenty of room to move about.

Charter notes

Two couples travelling together or a family will find her the right size, and those who hire her book by the week or for three days at the shortest, so a full week in Greece and a shorter stay aboard both work.
