By My Side Power Catamaran

A Flite Seascooter and a Seabob F9 both travel aboard By My Side, so two guests can be out on them at the same time, and her Zar 85 SL tender, driven by a 350 HP Honda V8, doubles as a chase boat for watersports and for going further along the coastline. She is a 54ft (16m) Aquila power catamaran built in 2024, and she carries all of this for a party of eight.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Sibenik in Croatia, and Croatia's Adriatic coast is her whole cruising ground, July and August being the two months at its height. From Sibenik she can reach Dubrovnik, a UNESCO-listed town of medieval streets, Hvar for its beaches, and Vis for its villages and their cooking, and between the towns the shore is broken by small coves where she can drop anchor.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins hold her eight guests, a king bed in the first and a queen in each of the three others, and eight is her limit by day as well, so the party under way is the same party that sleeps aboard. Three crew look after those eight guests.

Comfort under way

Two hulls carry her, and under way she holds 13 knots at a cruise with 24 knots at the top, so a long stretch of coast passes quickly when it needs to.

On deck

The flybridge is given over to a lounge deck of real size, with a barbecue for cooking in the open, and the foredeck is set out for sunbathing. Speakers indoors and out carry a single sound system across both, and a swim platform makes the step into the sea a short step.

Water toys

Beyond the two sea scooters, a paddleboard and a Hobie pedal kayak move under a guest's own effort, snorkelling gear goes into the water with them, a Jobe 4P Binar towable comes with its rope for pulling behind the tender, and a Nautibuoy 800 Sport inflatable, 4 m by 2 m, gives a floating surface in the water beside the swimming.

Charter notes

By My Side suits a family or a group of eight friends, and her charter runs by the week or, at the shortest, for three days of hire. With three crew for eight guests, and the tender, the sea scooters, the paddleboard and the kayak all aboard, a party of that size has several ways onto the water at the same time.
