Gala Motor Yacht

A jet ski travels aboard Gala together with her 12ft tender, so her guests have a machine to ride across the water and a separate boat to carry them ashore. She is a 62ft (18m) motor yacht from Walker, built in 2023.

On deck

Her swim platform puts guests at water level, so a swim begins with a step down rather than a climb over the rail, and the way back aboard from the water is just as easy.

Water toys

Her towables are a banana boat and a donut ride, each pulled behind the yacht with a group of riders holding on together, toys for a group to share rather than ride alone. Snorkelling gear is carried as well, for anyone who would rather look at what lies beneath the surface than ride over it.

Where she cruises

Gala keeps her home port at Sharjah, and the United Arab Emirates is her whole cruising ground: a charter with her stays within the United Arab Emirates, and her peak season runs at the turn of the year, November and December then January and February.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep four guests, and a crew of three runs the yacht and looks after them, so the four who sleep aboard have almost as many crew as there are guests. Both cabins are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi runs aboard, and keeping in touch ashore need not wait until she is back in port.

Comfort under way

Under way she cruises at 24 knots and will reach 30 when asked, and at that pace the distance between two stops on the coast passes quickly.

Charter notes

Gala suits two couples travelling together who want a hire scaled to their own party, and yet by day she can carry twenty-five guests, so the couples who sleep aboard can bring a far larger group out on the water with them.
