Goodness Power Boat

Seakeeper stabilisers hold Goodness level when she is stopped as well as when she is running, so this 45ft (14m) power boat keeps a still deck at anchor and at speed. Vanquish Yachts delivered her in 2024 on a hull built for steady running at sea, and she began life as the tender and chase boat to the sailing yacht Gracious before taking guests of her own.

On deck

Sunshades forward and aft give cover at both ends of her, and a Fusion speaker system with Bluetooth plays music from a guest's own device. Two fridges keep the champagne, wine and beer she carries cold, a swim ladder makes getting in and out of the water easy, and a freshwater rinse at the back of the boat takes the salt off afterwards.

Water toys

Two SUP boards go aboard, so two guests can paddle off at the same time, and floating mats and noodles are there for lying in the water without swimming. Snorkelling gear is carried for the whole party, so nobody needs to bring their own, and a Highfield dinghy takes people ashore.

Where she cruises

Goodness has her home port at Tortola and works the British Virgin Islands and the USVI. She collects guests from anywhere in the British Virgin Islands, North Sound, Oil Nut Bay and Scrub Island included, and a pick-up or drop-off in the USVI can be arranged on request. Virgin Gorda gives her guests The Baths, where granite boulders form grottoes and pools along the shore, Norman Island has caves to explore and coral reefs to snorkel over, and Jost Van Dyke has white-sand beaches with the Soggy Dollar Bar ashore. Cooper Island has a beach club for a meal and a drink on land, and Anegada's beaches are secluded.

Accommodation and crew

A single enclosed cabin with air conditioning sleeps two guests, December to March being her peak months, and she takes ten aboard by day with a head that has a toilet and a freshwater shower. Two crew run her, a professional captain among them, so a couple staying overnight has a crew member each, while a party of ten shares the pair of them.

Comfort under way

Twin Volvo Penta IPS drives give her a 20-knot cruise and a top speed of 42 knots, so the water between islands is covered quickly, and her engines use 160 litres of fuel an hour, with that fuel included when she goes out. Her hull is built for stability at sea as much as for its looks.

Charter notes

Goodness suits a couple, either on their own or hosting up to ten aboard by day, and she is taken out for a full-day charter or a half-day hire. Towels, reef-safe sunscreen and the drinks are already aboard, and her captain and crew build the day around what the party wants to do rather than a set route.
