Aurora Motor Yacht
About Aurora
On the sun deck her dining table drops down to form a wide sunbathing area, and forward on the main deck a jacuzzi sits in a ring of sun pads. The salon and dining area inside share a single open room, glazed end to end so daylight carries through it. Aurora is a 100ft (30m) motor yacht from Tecnomar, launched in 2011 and refitted in 2020.
Accommodation and crew
Five cabins sleep twelve guests, and twelve is also her limit for a day on the water. The full-beam master suite on the lower deck has a king-size bed, a walk-in closet and a settee; two VIP staterooms have queen beds, and the two twin cabins add pullman berths and convert to doubles when a double is wanted. Each cabin has its own bathroom, and a crew of five runs her.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 20 knots and reaches 28, which widens the number of anchorages within her reach.
On deck
The aft deck takes alfresco dining and steps down to an extended swim platform, an easy way into the sea and back out. Above, full-length sofas and sun pads lie under generous awnings, with a shaded wet bar and a barbecue for eating outdoors.
Water toys
A 13ft Zodiac tender covers trips ashore, and in the water there is a Seadoo jet ski, water skis and a wakeboard, a towable banana, two SUP boards for two paddlers, an inflatable kayak that seats two and snorkelling gear.
Where she cruises
Athens is her home port, and she cruises Greece, the mainland shore and the islands off it, without leaving Greece, July and August being her busiest months.
Charter notes
Aurora suits two couples sharing her or a family, twelve at most, and she can be taken for a full week or a shorter hire, with outdoor space enough to spread a group of that size out.
