Typhoon Power Boat

Typhoon cruises at 35 knots and has 45 knots in hand, so the water between her home harbour and the islands she visits is a short part of the day rather than the shape of it. She is a 29ft (9m) RIB power boat, built in 2024.

Water toys

Snorkelling gear is carried on every trip, and the swimming and snorkelling stops are what a day aboard is built around, with marine life to look at below the surface and towels waiting when you climb back aboard. A cooler box keeps the soft drinks cold and there are glasses to drink them from.

Where she cruises

Typhoon has her home port at Bali, in Indonesia, and she leaves from Serangan harbour. Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, the Nusa Islands, are her snorkelling and swimming waters, and a sunset trip can take in Nusa Dua, with a swim first and then aperitif platters and drinks aboard while the sun goes down. Longer runs take her across to the Gili Islands – Trawangan, Meno and Air – and a custom trip can be put together for other parts of Indonesia, with December through to March her peak of the year.

Accommodation and crew

Six guests can be aboard for the day and she comes with her crew, so nobody in the party has to drive her. A toilet and changing space is aboard too, which matters on a day spent going in and out of the sea.

On deck

A sound system and a USB charger keep the music going and the phones charged through the day, safety jackets are aboard for anyone going into the water, and a first aid kit is carried.

Charter notes

Typhoon is chartered by the day or the half day, and she suits a family or a group of friends who want to swim and snorkel and then watch the sunset from the boat. Food and drinks, alcoholic among them, can be arranged for any outing, and surfing, fishing and overnight rental are custom trips put together around the party, so the outing takes the shape the group gives it rather than a fixed programme.
