Ethna Motor Yacht

Zuccon drew her exterior and her interior alike, and Ethna holds one idea from her profile to the bright saloon with its long sofa and full dining table. She is a 98ft (30m) Ferretti motor yacht of 2008, refitted in 2021.

Where she cruises

Amalfi is her home port and Sardinia her second base, which gives guests two starting points in Italy, and she also cruises from Italy across to Malta.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep twelve guests. The master sits on the main deck with a large bathroom, a sofa and a walk-in closet; two doubles and two twins with pullman berths are below, each with its own bathroom. Her crew of five – captain, chef, two stewardesses and a deckhand – handle the cooking, the tender and the running of her.

Comfort under way

Mitsubishi gyroscopic stabilisers work under way and at anchor, so she rolls less moving and stopped alike, and her MTU engines cruise at 18 knots on 500 litres an hour, with 28 knots in reserve.

On deck

The flybridge is a highlight – July and August are her peak months – with a jacuzzi, sun loungers and a large table under a folding hard top. The aft deck has a sofa that converts into a sunbathing area and a table for eating outdoors, and there is another sunbed at the bow.

Water toys

A 15ft tender goes ashore and tows the water skier, the wakeboard, the donut and the banana; two Seabobs and two SUP boards put pairs in the water, with an E-foil, a Seadoo Spark jet ski, a floating pool, snorkelling gear and fishing tackle aboard.

Charter notes

A week aboard suits two couples travelling together or a family, and shorter hires are possible too; her swimming platform makes getting into the water a step rather than a climb.
