La Pausa Motor Yacht

A twelve-knot cruise on 150 litres an hour, with fourteen knots in reserve, is the measure of La Pausa, an 85ft (26m) Ferretti motor yacht built in 2010 and refitted in 2020.

Where she cruises

Cannes in France is her home port. La Pausa cruises France and Monaco, runs east into Italy and reaches as far as Malta, where she is registered, so a group is not tied to a single stretch of coastline.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins take ten guests overnight, and twelve can be aboard for a day on the water. The layout gives a master cabin and a VIP, along with three twin cabins, each carrying an additional pullman berth. A crew of four runs her, close numbers on a ten-guest yacht, and July and August are her peak months.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers work at anchor as well as under way, which takes the roll out of an overnight stop and out of the miles in between.

On deck

Dining is laid out aft on the main deck and again up on the sun deck, where the sunbathing space is, so a group can eat outside on either level; the main salon is the indoor room. A swim platform opens the water up directly from the yacht.

Water toys

A sixteen-foot tender handles trips ashore, and the kit aboard La Pausa runs to a Seabob, an E-foil, kayaks, paddle boards, water skis and a towable, with snorkelling and fishing equipment as well.

Charter notes

She suits a family, or friends travelling as couples, for a week's hire, and she also takes bookings by the day or for three days. Up to twenty guests can come aboard for an event, which means room for more company than the ten who sleep.
