About Elite Galapagos

A crew of twelve looks after at most sixteen guests aboard Elite Galapagos, and among them are naturalist guides, a culinary specialist and a cruise service officer, so the count comes close to a crew member for each guest. Breakfast and lunch are laid out as buffets, and dinner is a sit-down meal built around fresh ingredients sourced locally. She is a Custom Made superyacht of 123ft (38m), built in 2019.

Comfort under way

Her twin hulls keep her smooth and steady under way, and she cruises at 12 knots with 14 knots at the top, carrying advanced systems for safety and navigation.

On deck

The sky deck carries alfresco dining, a bar, a lounge and a semi-covered area, so meals and drinks can be taken in the open air, and a deck jacuzzi is there for a soak outdoors. A sun terrace sits at her bow, a frontal observation platform and a shaded terrace are set up for looking out at the landscape, and a laser pointer is kept aboard for picking out the stars.

Water toys

Paddleboards and kayaks ride with her for time on the water under paddle power, snorkelling gear with wetsuits and fins is aboard so guests go in properly kitted, a swim platform gives a step straight down to the sea, and a tender carries the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Elite Galapagos has her home port in the Galapagos, Ecuador, and she works Ecuador's waters through the Western, the Central and the Eastern Galapagos on itineraries both long and short, with December, January and February her peak. The islands bring her guests up close to marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies and giant tortoises.

Accommodation and crew

Sixteen guests sleep in eight suites, king-sized beds in four of them and twin beds in the other four, and every suite has glass doors from floor to ceiling opening onto a private balcony, a bathroom with natural light, a work station, a wardrobe and a yoga mat of its own, with kettle bells and dumbbells aboard to go with it. Elsewhere inside, a lounge with panoramic views and an indoor dining area give the whole group somewhere to sit together.

Charter notes

Elite Galapagos suits a large family or a group travelling together, and she can be taken on hire for a week or for as little as three days. Each day carries an activity briefing, and guided expeditions with the expedition gear provided are part of the service for everyone aboard.
