Rara Avis Motor Sailer
About Rara Avis
Out on deck, Rara Avis carries a jacuzzi in the open air, which gives the group a place to sit in the water without leaving the yacht. She is a 108ft (33m) motor sailer, built to order by Custom Made in 2018 and refitted in 2025.
Where she cruises
Hvar is her home port, and she works a single country, Croatia. Because she stays inside Croatia, guests join her and leave her on the same coast rather than running between countries.
Accommodation and crew
Six cabins sleep twelve guests, and twelve is also the number she can carry by day, with a crew of 4 aboard and her peak months falling in July and August.
Comfort under way
She settles into a cruise at 10 knots and has 14 in hand, while her zero-speed stabilisers work when she is stopped as well as when she is moving, so there is less roll at anchor.
On deck
A swim platform brings the sea within a step for anyone getting in or climbing back out, and she is air-conditioned throughout, with Wi-Fi and satellite television aboard.
Water toys
Eight toys travel with Rara Avis: a jet ski and a Seabob, SUP boards and a kayak for going along the shoreline under paddle power, water skis and a wakeboard for towing, and towable and inflatable toys for the swimmers. A beach tender handles the trips ashore.
Charter notes
A week's rental suits couples travelling together or a family, and divers most of all: she carries scuba diving equipment, with snorkelling gear for anyone who would rather stay on the surface, so the whole group can get below the water as easily as into it.
