Fifty Five Motor Yacht

Two MTU engines take Fifty Five to 40 knots flat out, with 30 knots her cruising pace, and she uses 700 litres an hour, so distant coast comes within a day's run. She is a 102ft (31m) motor yacht from Cantieri Navali, built in 2021.

On deck

The flybridge has an outdoor table and a wide sunbathing area under a shading tent, so a meal can be eaten outdoors. At the stern, a dining and lounging area has a barbecue, a fridge and a folding television, and the bow holds a second sunbathing area with a round sofa.

Water toys

A 14ft Williams tender handles the runs ashore, while two Seabob F5S and two paddleboards put two guests on the water at a time on either. Fishing and snorkelling are catered for, and the swim platform makes getting into the sea easy.

Where she cruises

Gaeta, the port between Rome and Naples, is her home, with Naples a second base. Her cruising covers Italy and reaches south to Malta.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins sleep nine guests overnight, and twelve can be aboard while she is under way. The master, VIP and double are joined by a twin that converts to a double and carries a pullman berth, and every bathroom is finished in marble. A captain and four crew look after them, roughly one crew member for every two guests.

Comfort under way

A Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser steadies her at anchor and under way, so there is less roll both moving and at rest, and she pairs the pace of a large open boat with the shelter of a flybridge.

Charter notes

Fifty Five suits two couples or a family who want quick passages and long spells in the water. She goes by the week, with a three-day minimum on a shorter hire, and July and August are her peak months.
